Guest Bedroom Essential: A "Welcome Tray"

Posted on
With vacation season in full swing, many of you may have family members and friends who will be staying in your home this summer! In order to be the “Hostess with the Mostess”, we have a guide to help you create a welcome tray for your guest bedroom! It’s important your guests feel at home and have all of the necessities they may need for their stay! Who knows, this may entice them to come visit more often! Well, on second thought….. Kidding!

Guests are great and most of us welcome them with open arms. There is, however, a little preparatory work that goes into their stay. Aside from the usual duties such as providing fresh linens, extra pillows, and covers, we have some essentials that will take your “hostess” skills to the next level. We want to help you knock it out of the park!

Below are 6 Essentials you will need to create the perfect “Welcome Tray” for your guest bedroom.

1.Metal Box Trays

Obviously a huge part of this whole post relies on the existence of a “tray”. Baskets work too, however, we’ve found that the flatness of a tray allows for a more aesthetic arrangement. Our metal box trays are the perfect piece and are available in 3 different sizes to fit your needs.
2. Swing Top Glass Water Bottle

Nothing is worse than being thirsty in the middle of the night. Offer your guest a filled bottle that they can have on hand when they get the urge to hydrate! Bonus: These are easily re-filled and can be used time after time.
3. Jelly Jar

Of course, your guest will need something to pour their water in, and what’s cuter than these vintage style jelly jar glasses?
4. Reading Material

Pick something that appeals to your guest, whether it be a home décor magazine (that would be our choice), a travel guide to your city, or a romantic novel. It’s all about making it personal for them.
5. Preserved Boxwood Topiary

This will add a POP of color and bring the beauty of nature into your home!
6. Toiletries by Heavenly Sugar

Local or handmade toiletries such as scrub bars (pictured below), bath bombs or bath truffles add a “fragrant touch” and really show off your hospitality.

If your guest has a sweet tooth, drop a few “bite size” treats on the tray. If not, mints do the trick too!
